Checking things off the list...

I feel VERY accomplished for the things that I have been able to check off the list the past few days. These items include:

Ordering my external hard-drive (for backing up pictures and sharing music/videos while in Ukraine)

Figuring out which winter boots I wanted (this process was incredibly difficult because my feet get FREEZING in the winter...and I most definitely wanted them to be 110% waterproof. After finally deciding on the pair...I woke up yesterday to order them and they no longer had a size 9. GRRRR. After telling my youth kiddos about this last night during joys and concerns, maybe someone actually prayed about it...because tonight, I decided to check again and there was ONE size 9 available. Yippee!!!!! I ordered them on the spot.)

Receiving a lovely gift from my boss and her husband that I put towards my sleeping bag :) best part? It's red. Oh, and I guess it's good that it's down and can compact into practically a ziploc bag. But I'm really excited that it's red. Thank you Wally & Cathy!

My mom and I DEEP cleaned my garage today. This hadn't been done in at least 2 years probably. Kind of embarrassing to admit...but it's the truth. It felt incredibly good to pull my car into the garage tonight and know that I wouldn't have to sweep the floor in there for a very long time. Thanks, Mom :)

Tomorrow, I get to travel to ______ ____ on the Team Leader retreat. Every spring break, my church goes to Mexico to build houses across the border from Texas. But this year, we're switching things up a bit and working north of the border in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. There will be 8 teams at 8 different worksites working on homes that were affected by hurricanes the past 2 years. Each team has 2 or 3 team leaders (high school students) who are in charge of managing their worksites, packing team lunches, leading devotions, etc. I would tell you where we're going, but it's a surprise. Just in case one of them reads this :)

I'm sure I'm forgetting other things, but I am falling asleep as I type this. I didn't think I would be able to blog this weekend, so I wanted to get one in before I turned off the computer! Hope everyone has a fabulous Friday. Goodnight!
