lazy day!

No earth shattering news here in K-grad today.  I made skillet fries and a grilled cheese for lunch.  Stayed in my pajamas all day (whoops).  Watched some episodes of Monk.  Skyped with my brother and sister-in-law to meet the newest member of their family...

Toby!

They are now a true min pin (miniature pinscher)  fam.  They got Gracie 5 or 6 years ago (the tiny dog in Jeremy's hoodie), but after Tina saw a post that Toby needed a home, they adopted him last week.  My comment on this photo on facebook: Toby could eat Gracie.  But, they seem to get along well!

My brother also got his very delayed Christmas present today.  His very own bubble calendar.  Every day of the year has a bubble to pop.  Pretty funny in my eyes, especially to someone like him who loves popping bubble wrap.  He may be 35 years old, but he's a kid at heart with some things :)

While I was perusing the {highly addictive} world of pinterest today, I stumbled across this poster.

I can't identify all of the movies, but I definitely recognize a lot of them :)  Dirty Dancing, ET, Karate Kid, Ghostbusters, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, etc.  Which ones do you recognize?

I almost finished a craft project last night (at 2 am--my antibiotic makes me not tired...)!  My kitchen curtain is {almost} done.  When I hung it up, after carefully hemming the bottom of it and making sure it was even...I realized that the curtain rod is not hung level.  So, I have to make one end of the curtain a bit shorter to make it appear level.  Sigh.  When it's done, I will post pics of it.  Promise :)  While I was finishing the curtain, I decided to pop in an old favorite and watch: Maverick.  I needed a movie I had already seen and that I wouldn't have to watch...I could simply listen to.  Not sure where my love for that movie originates, but I can quote a heck of a lot of the movie.

My dad informed me of a movie that might be of interest to watch while I'm over here, close to where the actual story line happened.  The Great Escape.  A true story of prisoners of war escaping from camps in WWII.  Might even give it a try tonight!

Started reading The Help last night.  Already engrossed in it, as I knew I would be.  Can't wait to finish it and watch the movie.

It's Ukrainian Christmas today!  С Рождеством! Signing off for now...

Wow, lots about me in this one. Toby is adjusting well. He goes to the vet this morning, and I bet he goes on a diet this afternoon...

Thanks again for the bubble wrap calendar!

I got most of the 80s alphabet. I'm missing A, M, Q, U, V, X, Y, and Z.
