a case of the mondays...

My project all weekend has been working on my business cards. Over the past 5 years, I've learned that being your own client is by far being your hardest client. So after many text messages back and forth with Kristen, my go-to graphics person, nothing was in fact decided upon with my business cards.

Requirements for Lydia's business cards:
1) I wanted a unique, attention grabber (isn't that the point of a business card?)
2) I saw it going two directions:
a) vintage, eclectic
b) a touch of modern simplicity
3) I'm a sucker for great lettering.

So why not try to combine the 3 requirements? Easier said than done.

These are not done, but I need to go ahead and make these notes/inquiries.
1) Blue is NEVER my first color pick. But I love love love the soft blue background.
2) Should I do a backside of the business card with more information?
3) I feel like the first option is more whimsical with the grey border around my name while option 2 is more bold and modern. Thoughts?

On another note, I will be going to Boston in a week! Yippeeeee!!! Jill Sowers and Ashley Maldonado are moving there...and I am tagging along for the fun road trip. While up there, I will also get to visit my brother and his fiance, who just had a wedding shower this weekend. I'm sorry I had to miss it, but I did have fun in Norman at Jacey's shower, which Anna came in town for. Missed you there Rosenharry!

I'll finish with a few old photos for a good laugh :)

I am loving these adorable pictures of you as a little one. I don't know that I have ever seen pictures of you that young. So cute!

I kind of like the first option on your cards, the design is still bold and attracting. I think I'd go with a small list of services on the back OR!! some fun design quote you like, I know you like quotes like me.

I agree with Kristen, go with the first option on the business cards!
